In a seemingly devastating blow to the Bush Administration’s detainee policy, the US Supreme Court has issued a 5-4 Ruling stating that the Bush Administration has no right to prevent the appeals of detainees in US Civilian courts. The Bush Administration has argued that the detainees are in a special class “Unlawful Combatants” and are not citizens; therefore, none should appear in any US Civilian court. “WRONG-O,” says majority.
